Delivery Procedures and Expectations

Standard delivery hours are between 12:00 PM and 8:00 PM. Deliveries generally begin at 12:00 PM.

Prescriptions received before 12:00 PM may qualify for same-day delivery if:

Exceptions may apply in certain circumstances, including:

• Other case exceptions

Prescriptions received after 12:00 PM or after normal business hours will generally be delivered the next business day.

Out-of-stock medications will be delivered once inventory becomes available and may be delivered the next business day.

Refrigerated Medications

For refrigerated medications:
• Pharmacy staff will contact the patient to coordinate delivery timing.
• An individual must be present during the scheduled delivery window to help maintain medication integrity.

Standard Deliveries

For medications not requiring special handling, delivery may be coordinated to a designated drop-off location approved by the patient, including:
• Front door
• Side entrance
• Other approved location

Proof of delivery may include a signature and/or photo confirmation. Patients are encouraged to promptly retrieve delivered medications to avoid loss, theft, damage, or reduced medication effectiveness.

To obtain uninterrupted delivery service, patients must promptly update the pharmacy regarding any changes in address, gate codes, phone number, or insurance information.

Controlled Substances

Certain medications, including many controlled substances such as opioids, may not qualify for shipping services. Controlled substance prescriptions that do qualify for delivery must comply with all applicable federal and Nevada State laws and delivery requirements.

Controlled substance prescriptions must be electronically prescribed per Nevada State law.

For qualifying controlled substance deliveries:
• The patient or authorized individual age 18 or older must be present.
• A signature is required upon delivery.
• A valid government-issued ID is required.
• Deliveries are made by scheduled appointment only.

Exceptions may apply for assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and hospice patients in accordance with applicable laws and pharmacy policies.

Refill and New Prescription Requests

Please allow at least 24 hours notice for refill delivery requests to allow time for:
• Insurance verification
• Prescription processing
• Provider communication, if needed
• Delivery scheduling

New prescriptions must be:
• Electronically prescribed by a healthcare provider, or
• Delivered directly to the pharmacy when permitted by law.

A member of our pharmacy staff may contact patients regarding delivery scheduling and/or order clarification.

Redelivery Policy

MONICOS PHARMACY will make an initial delivery attempt as scheduled. If delivery cannot be completed, a second delivery attempt may be made on the next business day.

After two unsuccessful delivery attempts, delivery fees may apply and must be paid prior to any further delivery attempts. Continued unsuccessful delivery attempts may require the patient to pick up prescriptions directly from the pharmacy and may result in suspension or discontinuation of complimentary delivery services.

Payment Policy

In accordance with federal regulations and insurance requirements, pharmacy staff are not permitted to waive copayments. Pharmacy staff will inform patients of copays and balances prior to delivery.

Copayments and outstanding balances must be paid prior to delivery.

Accepted payment methods include:
• Credit or debit card on file
• FSA/HSA cards
• Cash on delivery (C.O.D.)

Patients are encouraged to maintain a payment method on file to help avoid delivery delays.
